Dear Mr. Sochart,
 
Due to the decision of the Committee to give priority to initial reports over periodic reports, the examination of the periodic report of Germany in the pre-sessional working group meeting has been pushed to October 2003.  The new deadline for the submission of NGO information has been set at 1 June 2003.

The Committee prefers to receive shorter documents in any case as its time is quite limited.
